UTM builder for every campaign
Tag your TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Google and Meta ads so Google Analytics — and your linkom page — show exactly which campaign brought each visit.
Everything runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent to us.
Where will you share it?
Where the traffic comes from: tiktok, snapchat, newsletter
The type of traffic: paid_social, cpc, email, influencer
The promotion: ramadan_sale, summer_launch
Values are lower-cased and spaces become underscores, so “Summer Sale” and “summer_sale” count as one campaign.
Your campaign link
What are UTM parameters?
UTM parameters are short tags added to the end of a link, like ?utm_source=tiktok&utm_medium=paid_social&utm_campaign=ramadan_sale. They don't change the page people see; they tell your analytics tool where each visit came from.
Without them, a visit from a TikTok ad, an influencer's story and a WhatsApp broadcast can all look the same — “direct” or “social”. With them, Google Analytics 4, your linkom page and most analytics tools show each campaign separately, so you can see which spend actually brings customers.
The five UTM parameters
- utm_sourceRequired
- Where the visit comes from — the platform, site or newsletter.
- Examples: tiktok, snapchat, google, newsletter
- utm_mediumRecommended
- The kind of traffic — paid or organic social, search ads, email, print.
- Examples: paid_social, cpc, social, email, print
- utm_campaignRecommended
- The promotion or launch the link belongs to.
- Examples: ramadan_sale, black_friday_2026
- utm_contentOptional
- Which ad, creative or link was tapped — handy for A/B tests and influencers.
- Examples: video_a, story_2, noura
- utm_termOptional
- The keyword you paid for in search ads (Google Ads can fill it in automatically).
- Examples: abaya_online, running_shoes

Common mistakes
- Mixing upper and lower case — “Instagram” and “instagram” become two sources.
- Tagging links inside your own site — it starts a new session and overwrites the real source.
- Using spaces or special characters — they turn into %20 and clutter reports. Use underscores.
- Leaving out the campaign name — results from different promotions pile up together.
- Putting personal data (emails, phone numbers) in UTM values — it ends up in analytics reports.
- Renaming mid-campaign — keep one spelling until the campaign ends.
UTM builder FAQ
Is this UTM builder free?
Yes. It's free, with no sign-up and no limits, and it runs entirely in your browser — the links you build aren't sent to or stored on our servers. Your recent links are remembered only in this browser.
Which UTM parameters are required?
Google Analytics needs utm_source to attribute a visit, and we strongly recommend utm_medium and utm_campaign too. utm_content and utm_term are optional: use content to tell ads or influencers apart, and term for paid search keywords.
How do I add UTM tags to TikTok and Snapchat ads?
Build the link here with the TikTok or Snapchat preset, add your campaign name, then paste the full link as the ad's website / destination URL in TikTok Ads Manager or Snapchat Ads Manager. Use utm_content to tell each creative apart.
Do UTM parameters affect SEO?
No. Search engines don't use them for ranking and they don't change the page itself. Just don't put UTM tags on links inside your own site, and keep a canonical tag on your pages (most platforms add one automatically).
Where do I see the results?
In Google Analytics 4, open Reports → Acquisition → Traffic acquisition and choose Session campaign or Session source / medium. On a linkom page, sources and campaigns appear in Analytics automatically.
Can I use UTM links in my bio link and on QR codes?
Yes. Add UTM tags to the link in your TikTok, Instagram or Snapchat bio, and to QR codes on packaging or flyers (the QR / print preset). If the link points to a linkom page, linkom reads the tags and shows each campaign in your analytics.
